Tripe refers to the edible offal — that is, entrails and organs, such as stomach, liver, heart, kidneys, lungs, heart and spleen — of butchered animals. One’s culture dictates whether it’s a delicacy or utterly disgusting shit. The joke here regards the wordplay between awful and offal.

    I grew up on callos a la Madrileña, which was always served with chorizo (blood sausage) that looks a lot like Stumpy’s pecker after he visits Roxanne.
