Scissoring is a rather broad term describing a spectrum of genital-on-genital rubbing, including dry humping, primarily in the context of lesbian sex. According to Riese Bernard in an interview by Huffington Post, 40 percent of “queer women” say they regularly practice scissoring. The practice was lampooned on the popular Comedy Central animated series South Park.
