Pollen

When pollen grains erupt from a stamen,
Everyone knows, even the layman,
That the stuff in the air
Gets in your mouth, eyes and hair
Like splooge at a gangbang of gay men.

According to About.com, pollen comes in a variety of colors to attract particular species of pollinators. In fact, some plant structures masquerade as potential mates for insects to encourage “intimate contact” to facilitate the spread of its spores. Pollen contains male sex cells. This fact has been known at least as long ago as 1760 when Carolus Linnaeus used the term. The image above is of cedar pollen.
